After Ivar’s victory on the second night of the Spring Breakin’, the former North American champion and the current champion, Oba Femia, exchanged words. Lee stepped through the crowd into the ring and confronted Femi.
Ivar told Josh Briggs that he was not done with Femi. Later, backstage, Briggs said he would challenge Femi next. Lee entered and demanded his title back. This caused tension between the three.
Lee has been out of the game since December due to a back injury which required surgery. Originally, it was estimated that he would miss 8-12 months. He was scheduled to face Dominik mysterio for the North American championship at NXT’s Deadline event in December. Dragon Lee replaced him after he was pulled from the match. Mysterio had won the North American Championship by winning the Deadline event.
Femi won the NXT Breakout Tournament in January and then held the title for another 31 days.
