AEW may be without two of their stars for a long time.
Powerhouse Hobbs seemed to favor his right knee in the main event of AEW Dynamite last week, when he challenged Jon Moxley to win the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. Bryan Alvarez, our own Bryan Alvarez, confirmed Hobbs’ injury later.
Fightful Select reports that Hobbs’ injury is serious and he is not expected to return any time soon. Further details about the nature of the injury have not been revealed.
According to Fightful as well, it appears that Julia Hart may require surgery. However, the nature of the injury hasn’t been revealed. She injured her shoulder during a match against Leyla Hirsch in the Rampage on April 10 (aired April 12, but she continued to work after). It is not known if she will need surgery.
Hart wrestled a tag match with Brody King and Adam Copeland against Nightingale on April 17, and then lost the TBS title in a six minute match at AEW Dynasty to Nightingale. She hasn’t appeared on AEW programming after the pay-per view.
