AEW has updated the storyline on Tony Khan after the events of Dynamite.
Tony Schiavone, during Collision, announced that Khan suffered “multiple neck and head injuries” after The Elite’s Wednesday attack, but that he would continue to manage the show remotely from Jacksonville. Doctors had also advised Khan to not travel until he recovered from his injury. Nigel McGuiness suggested that if Khan was not able to attend AEW events then the shows would be run by Matthew and Nicholas Jackson, EVPs.
Jack Perry spoke to Khan at the end of the show on Wednesday about his suspension, and asked Khan to lift it. The two hugged and appeared to have reached an agreement. Perry attacked Khan and sent him to the floor. Kazuchika Okada and The Young Bucks then appeared and showed concern over what Perry had done. The Young Bucks planted Khan with the Meltzer Driver. Khan’s father Shad and the locker room came out at the end of the show to check on Khan’s condition.
