Tony Khan: WWE ‘like Harvey Weinstein in pro wrestling’ in todays Wrestling news

Tony Khan, during a Friday appearance at the NFL Network, called WWE “the Harvey Weinstein” of pro wrestling.
Khan received media attention for wearing a neck brace in the first round of NFL Draft. He was selling the aftermath of an attack on AEW Dynamite that occurred this Wednesday. The main event of the episode was Khan being knocked out by Jack Perry’s punch and The Young Bucks’ spike Tombstone pidriver.
One night later, the first round of NFL Draft took place. Khan, whose Jacksonville Jaguars team is owned by his family, was wearing a neck brace in the war room of the team.
Khan maintained kayfabe when discussing the “injury,” on the NFL Network. He also spoke of AEW’s competition against “really evil juggernaut”, WWE:
We’ve been doing it for five years. We are the most successful sports startup since the AFL, American Football League, pre-merger with the NFL. In many, many, years, there hasn’t been a competitor brand that has achieved as much market share. We’re like Pepsi in pro wrestling and we are up against an evil juggernaut. WWE is our main competitor. WWE is like Harvey Weinstein in pro wrestling. I’m proud of the work we do here.
The comparison with disgraced Hollywood actor and sexual predator Harvey Weinstein is made in light of the sexual abuse allegations that Vince McMahon faces in the lawsuit filed by former WWE employee Janel grant earlier this year. The suit names McMahon and WWE as defendants, along with John Laurinaitis.
