Will Ospreay will challenge for International title in AEW Double or None in todays Wrestling news
Ospreay earned the title shot by winning a Casino Gauntlet game.
Double or Nothing will now play a match for the International title.
Will Ospreay defeated Komander using the hidden blade in a Casino Gauntlet Match that was played on Dynamite. He will now compete against Roderick Strong in Las Vegas for the International title, at Double or Nothing, on May 26.
The gauntlet was not announced before the show. It included Jay White, Dante Martin Penta El Zero Miedo Kyle O’Reilly Ospreay Lance Archer Komander and Jay Lethal. O’Reilly put Ospreay into the cross-arm breaker, allowing Komander a ropewalk shooting stars press. Ospreay hit the hidden knife for the win.
Ospreay was seen in one of the stories he told during the match hesitantly using the Tiger Driver 91. He said he wouldn’t use the move again after he injured Bryan Danielson with the move at AEW. Don Callis asked Ospreay backstage why he hadn’t used the move. He urged Ospreay, noting Strong’s neck problems in the past, to use the move
