Owens was suspended after attacking Austin Theory and Grayson Waller.

Kevin Owens has been suspended in storyline.

Following his actions on Friday’s SmackDown, General Manager Nick Aldis told Kevin Owens that he was suspended from WWE after attacking both Grayson Waller and Austin Theory on Friday’s show.

Owens did color commentary for most of Friday’s show, replacing Corey Graves. Aldis had given Owens permission to do color commentary under the condition that he didn’t get physically involved. After Waller lost to LA Knight to, Owens repeatedly mocked Waller and later added Theory as well, repeatedly showing footage of himself attacking both men. Waller and Theory confronted Owens, pouring water over his head then throwing the bottle at announcer Kevin Patrick. Owens responded by attacking the two as they were leaving, giving Waller a stunner. Announcers pushed hard on commentary that Owens could be suspended as a result of the attack.

Last month, it was revealed that as part of Jey Uso going to Raw, Kevin Owens was traded to SmackDown. In the weeks since, Owens has been feuding with both Waller and Theory, who have formed an association with one another.
