AEW Dynasty Notes: Chris Jericho wins FTW Title, Adam Cole is out of wheelchair in todays Wrestling news
Five new champions emerged from Sunday’s pay per view.
Chris Jericho was the recipient of the FTW Championship after the AEW Dynasty on Sunday.
Hook flipped Jericho off with a defiant flip, while Hook hit him with a bat to the face. Jericho, who had already performed a Judas Effect to achieve a nearfall, kept telling Hook not to get up in the latter stages of the fight.
Taz, Hook’s dad, got up and left the announcer’s desk after the bat shot. He didn’t get involved. He told Jericho after the match to back off to help play up how serious the bat shot was.
The win ended Hook’s 238-day reign, which saw only three successful title defences. Jericho is now the ninth overall champion and seventh unique champion since the ECW’s inception in 1998.
Jericho is the newest titleholder in the AEW. He joins AEW World Champions Swerve Strickland and The Young Bucks as well as TBS Champion Willow Nightingale and AEW unified Trios Champions Bullet Club Gold.

Several champions left St. Louis with their titles intact.
Toni Storm, AEW Women’s Champion, defeated Thunder Rosa with a second Storm Zero which was preceded by a kick to the low-blow. This is Storm’s third reign and fourth title defense.
In his first title defence, AEW Continental champion Kazuchika OKADA defeated PAC in their first ever meeting to retain the title. AEW International champion Roderick Strong defended his title against former teammate Kyle O’Reilly.

Adam Cole walked into the ring after Strong’s title defence over Kyle O’Reilly.
Cole, who was celebrating The Undisputed Kingdom, shot a disgusted glance at Wardlow. This was in response to his disappointment that the big man had lost to then-AEW World champion Samoa Joe back in March.
Cole, who has been out of action since breaking his ankle last September at Grand Slam Dynamite after jumping off the entrance ramp in the MJF-Joe World championship match, took another step towards returning to the ring.
Cole’s return is not yet scheduled. Since being beaten by Cole in December’s Worlds End and losing the World title, MJF, a former friend turned enemy, has also been out.
