Jack Perry interferes and Young Bucks win Tag Team Titles at AEW Dynasty in todays Wrestling news
Perry has left the company since AEW All In in August last year.
Jack Perry, an old friend of The Young Bucks’, interfered at AEW Dynasty to make sure that they were crowned AEW Tag Team Champions for the third time.
Matthew & Nicholas Jackson defeated FTR in a ladder-match for the vacant titles at Sunday’s pay per view, helped by Perry’s unexpected return. Dax Harwood, who was about to grab the belts from the ladder, was pushed off by a man wearing a white mask.
Security swarmed Perry and commentary acted like he was an admirer. They removed his mask, revealing Perry. Nicholas was then up on the ladder, grabbing the belts to win the titles. Perry was removed by security as the Bucks pretended that everything had been a surprise.
Darby Allin and Sting vacated the titles following Sting’s retirement from March’s Revolution. The titles were then put up for a tournament. FTR advanced by beating The Infantry and Top Flight, while the Bucks beat Private Party and Best Friends to reach the finals.
The Bucks are in their third reign and first since 2022, when they had a 28-day reign. Both teams won two of the four meetings between them.
Perry has not been in AEW since August’s All In, when he was involved in a backstage fight with CM Punk. AEW aired the footage a few weeks ago. He just finished a short stint in NJPW, where he adopted “Scapegoat”, a moniker that was meant to play off the Punk controversy.
Both teams tried to follow the brilliant Bryan Danielson vs. Will Ospreay game that preceded them. They pulled out all the stops, and eventually got the crowd back in the game.

Wheeler hit Matthew with a running spear on the ring apron. Matthew then slid onto the table, breaking it. His body then nailed the barrier. Nicholas then countered Harwood by hurricanrana through a ringside table.
Harwood and Wheeler hit Nicholas with a massive powerplex off the ladders.
Nicholas hit a 450-splash onto Wheeler, through a table, while Harwood hit Matt with a piledriver on top of a stepladder, but the ladder snapped, resulting in an awkward fall.
