The 38-year old had been working for the company since 2018.

Sanga has responded to his WWE release.

The 38-year old was one of five wrestlers WWE released from its roster Friday. Sanga, Veer Mahaan and Jinder Mahal from Indus Sher were also released.

Sanga posted a video on social media Saturday in which he said WWE wanted viewers from India, but no longer had any athletes from that country.

Below is a translation and transcription of Sanga’s comments (via Sportskeeda).

Sanga said:

You want Indian viewers when it comes to viewing. You want Indian viewers on Facebook, and the same is true for YouTube and television. You don’t encourage talent from India […] But it’s sad that you don’t. We come from a country with 1.4 billion citizens who want to see their talented athletes represented and work internationally […] I hate to hear or think it, but there are no Indian athletes in your company.

Jinder Mahal wrote, “I Quit.” in response to his release. Maharaja Out.” Drew McIntyre wrote to Mahal later: “We showed them one time. Show them again, Brother.” The image in his message showed the two of them together as members of 3MB. Mahal replied, “Comeback Kings.”
