Hardy made a surprise return to TNA Wrestling on Saturday’s Rebellion Pay-Per-View as “Lights Out”. He delivered a Twist Of Fate to Moose, and ended the show by holding the TNA World Title belt.
Hardy clarified that he had not signed with TNA, and was still a free-agent.
“No. I’m a freelancer. Hardy replied on X when someone asked if he was signed up with the company.
Hardy became a Free Agent earlier this year, after allowing his AEW contract to expire. He said on his podcast that he has been in contact with AEW and WWE as well as other promotions.
Hardy said
In full disclosure, what I am doing is what I should do as a free-agent — creating buzz around myself. Yes, I’ve been in constant contact with AEW. I’ve been talking to WWE. I’ve spoken with several people on different platforms. I think that the next two weeks will be fun.
Hardy is two-time TNA World Champion, and a former TNA Tag Team Champion along with his brother Jeff. In 2016, Hardy’s “Broken” character was voted as “Gimmick Of The Year” in TNA.
