‘Broken’ Matt Hardy returns at TNA Rebellion in todays Wrestling news
Hardy defeated Moose in the main event of the night.
Matt Hardy is back in TNA Wrestling and has made a big impression after Saturday’s Rebellion Pay-per-View main event.
After Moose celebrated his successful World title defence over Nic Nemeth the “lights-out” video montage which first aired in this week teasing a special surprise was once again aired, and then the lights went off. Hardy then appeared as his “Broken’ character, kicked Moose and hit his Twist Of Fate before holding up the TNA World Title in celebration.
The 49-year old’s AEW deal expired recently, making him a “free agent”. He has spoken about the process many times and there were rumors of his possible return to WWE.
TNA has not yet announced any formal signings.
He was the last member of TNA Wrestling from 2014-2017. During this time, he won the World title twice as well as the Tag Team titles with his brother Jeff Hardy, who is currently signed to AEW.
The night saw the third surprise return as former TNA World Champion Sami Callihan made his return during the Knockouts championship match, and former TNA Tag Team Champion Mike Santana returned after nearly five years away.
