NJPW reveals YOH Super Juniors’ 31 best injury replacements in todays Wrestling news
YOH will be missing the tournament due a dislocated shoulder on his left side.
NJPW has revealed YOH as the replacement for YOH in the Best of the Super Juniors 31, tournament.
In a post on social media posted early Friday morning, KUSHIDA, a two-time winner of the BOSJ, was revealed to be the replacement for the injured YOH.
KUSHIDA explains in his video that he did not initially make the cut for the BOSJ this year, but he has now stepped up and is going for the trophy. He has cleared his calendar for May in order to take part in the event:
KUSHIDA was the winner of the BOSJ tournaments in 2015 and 2017 and the runner up in 2014.
YOH has been sidelined after suffering a shoulder dislocation at Sakura Genesis in the first week of this month. NJPW announced on Thursday that YOH had also suffered damage to his left shoulder labrum as a result.
The block assignments for the tournament that begins on May 11 have not yet been revealed. The finals will be held at Dominion Osaka-Jo Hall, on June 9.
