Former WWE commentator Carlos Cabrera joins AEW in todays Wrestling news
Cabrera used to be a member of WWE’s Spanish Announce team.
Carlos Cabrera, a long-time Spanish-language broadcaster, has signed with AEW.
Tony Khan confirmed during Wednesday’s Dynamite that Cabrera would be joining AEW announcer team.
Khan wrote: “Welcome back to the @AEW commentating team tonight on #AEWDynamite!” “Carlos Cabrera Is All Elite!”
Cabrera has been the voice of WWE’s Spanish language commentary team since 1994. During his time in WWE, Cabrera worked as a commentator with Ed Trucco and Hugo Savinovich. Later, Marcelo Rodriguez joined him. He also hosted WWE en Espanol in Spanish, which recapped WWE shows such as Raw and SmackDown. Cabrera left the company in February 2022, after nearly 30 years.
He reunited with Savinovich for the AAA Rey de Reyes event a few days after his WWE release.
Cabrera, who was born in Bogota, Colombia and worked as a radio personality and newsman before joining WWE, is a Colombian native. He is a voice-over announcer who has won ACE awards in both radio and television.
