Tony Khan said he thought AEW All in footage aired on TV made a lot of’sense’ in todays Wrestling news
Khan explains why he chose to broadcast the CM Punk/Jack Perry incident.
Tony Khan said that it “made sense” to show the All In footage.
Khan told Chris Russell that the Jack Perry/CM Punk altercation at last year’s All In will be aired during the FTR/Young Bucks fight this weekend.
I thought it made sense. The ladder match between FTR and Young Bucks for the World Tag Team Championships is coming up at AEW. This is the fourth installment of FTR vs. The Young Bucks…the final time they wrestled was at Wembley Stadium in AEW All In, Young Bucks/FTR III. A lot happened on that day. At one point, it looked as if we would have to call them and have them wrestle the first match. The Young Bucks claimed that the entire day, all the events, had affected their mental preparation. They were unable to pray before the match and were very stressed. They lost the match because they slipped on a banana peel, but they blame FTR. They blame what happened at Wembley Stadium. In retrospect, this is why they refused FTR’s hands.
Khan also mentioned the reaction Jack Perry received last Friday when he lost to Shota Umino at NJPW Windy City Riot.
Jack Perry’s reaction at New Japan Pro Wrestling was amazing. He got the reaction of an absolute superstar. This is not entirely unexpected, but it’s very interesting. It could be a side-effect of this. Jack Perry is already a big wrestler, but it was interesting to see how the Chicago crowd connected with him.
In recent weeks, the Young Bucks made reference to Perry. Matthew Jackson wore a scapegoat shirt on Dynamite last week. Perry is still suspended following the altercation between Punk and himself.
