Gable jumped Zayn following their Intercontinental title fight.
Chad Gable has turned against Sami Zayn.
Gable left the ring after Zayn won the main event on WWE Raw. Zayn celebrated in his hometown of Montreal. Gable, who was hugging his wife ringside at the time, took him out from behind using a German suplex. He continued to attack Zayn. Raw ended with Gable securing Zayn’s ankle in an ankle-lock as Zayn was hugging his wife at ringside.
Gable offered to help Zayn prepare for his match against Gunther in the weeks leading up to WrestleMania. Zayn had defeated Gable in the gauntlet match and was now the number one contender. Zayn won the Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania by pinning Gunther. He was the new champion. Zayn & Gable defeated Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci from Imperium on the Raw following WrestleMania.
Zayn admitted that he owed Gable after their match and said that he would defend his championship against Gable in Montreal.
