The World Heavyweight Title match for Backlash has been set.
On Raw, it became official that Damian Priest would defend the title at Backlash in Lyon, France, on May 4. Uso was crowned the new number 1 contender on Raw last week after winning a four way match.
Balor said to Priest in a backstage interview that he believed they should be aiming to regain the tag team titles. Priest told Balor to focus on defeating Uso tonight. He’ll teach him the meaning of pain at Backlash. Both agreed to concentrate on Uso.
Priest appeared on the apron after Uso defeated Balor. The two stared each other down. Balor, JD McConagh, and Dominik mysterio were able to jump Uso. Uso managed to repel them and leave through the crowd.
Last weekend, on the second night of WrestleMania forty, Priest became the World Heavyweight Champion. He cashed out right after Drew McIntyre who had just won Seth Rollins’ title was attacked by CMPunk after McIntyre mocked him repeatedly. Priest ran to the ring to cash in his Money in the Bank Briefcase, pinning McIntyre and winning the title.
