Miro is recovering after a shoulder and elbow injury.
Miro updated his recovery from an injury in a new interview for Sportskeeda WrestleBinge with Bill Apter.
The interview took place during WrestleCon, in Philadelphia. Miro told Apter he is recovering from a shoulder and elbow injury, but hopes to be stronger than ever.
I had a shoulder and elbow injury late last year. I finally treated it in late January. I got a lot of shots, and now, I’m recovering and rehabbing. I feel stronger than ever.
Miro expressed his desire to fight Samoa Joe, the AEW World Champion. Apter had mentioned that Joe could be a possible opponent for him upon his return. Miro also said that he has his eye on TNT Champion Adam Copeland.
Miro has not been in action since December 2023. Tony Khan had mentioned earlier this year that he was interested in using Miro and Keith Lee for the planned “Meat Madness’ match at AEW revolution, but they were not available. The match has been postponed to allow the injured wrestlers to be cleared.
Miro tweeted in response to Khan’s Meat Madness comments that he has been injured since September, and received medical attention back in January.
Miro wrote to the 1st of March that he had been injured since September. I received medical attention in January. “Sorry, he didn’t know about it.”
Apter asked Miro how it was like working with Khan.
Tony’s great, man. He’s creative. His mind is always running, he thinks about wrestling all the time. I can respect that. I respect the fact that he has loved wrestling his entire life. He’s taken that passion to the second, or even one of the largest companies in the entire world.
