Cena indicated that he’ll also be undergoing another surgery soon.
Following the end of his recent full-time WWE run, John Cena appears to have undergone arm surgery.
Cena sent out a message on social media thanking Dr. Jeffrey Dugas and his entire team at the Andrew’s Sport Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in Birmingham, Alabama. Cena noted that he had one arm “fixed” and is headed for therapy. Specific details about the procedure were not disclosed.
Cena also indicated that he’ll be having surgery on his other arm soon.
He wrote on Friday morning:

At WWE Crown Jewel last Saturday, Cena lost to Solo Sikoa. Sikoa was dominant in the match. The finish was Sikoa pinning Cena after hitting 11 consecutive Samoan Spikes. On commentary, WWE played up that this could have been Cena’s final match.
Cena had been able to make an extended return to WWE this fall due to Hollywood being on strike. He was a full-time character on WWE television from September until Crown Jewel.
Cena received permission from the Screen Actors Guild to appear for WWE during the strike.
The strike ended this week with SAG-AFTRA reaching a tentative deal with the Hollywood studios. Last month, Cena said the strike ending would mean he’d be called away from WWE.
“I’ve made it perfectly clear you can’t do both because of the liability insurance,” Cena said. “And if I were to try and juggle both, that would be incredibly selfish because I’d put a lot of people in the movie business out of work if something happened to me.”
Cena has competed in three televised matches for WWE this year. He wrestled at WrestleMania 39, Fastlane, and Crown Jewel.
