Two new matches are set for the cross-promotional United Japan event in todays Wrestling news
This is the first event held under the United Japan Pro-Wrestling umbrella.
Two new matches will be added to the May All Together event, which is the first show under United Japan Pro-Wrestling’s banner.
In December 2023, it was announced that nine promotions had formed the United Japan Pro-Wrestling Industry group. Budokan Hall will host their first collaborative show on Monday, 5th May.
The All Together event will now include a singles match between Pro Wrestling NOAH’s Kenoh and NJPW Kosei Fujita. The All Together event will also feature a tag team match between SANADA (NJPW), KAI (Dragon Gate), and Zack Sabre Jr.
The nine promotions that make up the industry group are NJPW (Japan Professional Wrestling), AJPW (American Jerpw), DDT, Ganbare (Big Japan), Dragon Gate, Stardom and Tokyo Joshi Pro. They are still operating independently, but have come together to promote pro wrestling in Japan after the COVID-19 epidemic.
The mission statement of the group is:
Pro-wrestling should be allowed to contribute to the cultural and sporting sectors of Japan, and the industry’s health and prosperity should be maintained.
All Together will be available as a pay per view on ABEMA. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to victims of the Noto Peninsula Earthquake that occurred at the start of this year.
