New champions have been crowned in NXT.
On Tuesday, Nathan Frazer and Axiom defeated Bron Breakker & Baron Corbin for the first ever NXT Tag Team Titles. Breakker accidentally ran Corbin into the corner. The momentary distraction was enough for Frazer and Axiom send Breaker down the ropes to the floor. Frazer then hit Corbin with the phoenix-splash to win.
Karrion Kross, The Final Testament, and AOP, The Final Testament jumped the new champions after the match. AOP gave them both the super collider, before standing over their titles and posing.
After 57 days, the reign of Breakker & Corbin is over. On the 13th edition of NXT, they defeated Tony D’Angelo & Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo. They won the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic earlier that month, earning them a title shot.
Axiom & frazer won a three way match to earn a chance at the Tag Team Titles at NXT Stand & Deliver last weekend, but ultimately failed to win the titles. NXT Anonymous captured footage of Axiom & frazer asking Ava to rematch the title. The match was agreed upon with the condition that Axiom & Frazer would never be allowed to team up again if they lose.
