WWE’s Samantha Irvin has earned the praise of a legendary ring announcer.
Irvin announced every match at WrestleMania forty this past weekend. She has received praise from fans and the wrestling industry alike for her performance. This included an emotional announcement about Cody Rhodes winning the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
Michael Buffer, 79, who is perhaps the most famous ring-announcer of all-time, joined the chorus of praises on Monday. He tweeted that Irvin’s timing, pace and drama were perfect.

Paul “Triple H Levesque” responded to Buffer by saying Irvin is the “WWE’s Michael Buffer”.
Buffer is best known for his boxing work and his catchphrase “Let’s prepare to rumble!” Buffer was a pro wrestler ring announcer with WCW. He appeared on an episode of Saturday Night Main Event in 2007, and at the Royal Rumble 2008 for WWE.
Irvin, real name Samantha Johnson, joined WWE in 2021. She is currently the ring announcement for Raw. She was a former singer on “America’s Got Talent.”
