Becky Lynch, who was sick for the entire week, worked through WWE WrestleMania 40.
In the first match of WrestleMania, Lynch faced Women’s World champion Rhea Ripley. Ripley won the match with a clean win. Ripley reclaimed her title after Lynch kicked Riptide out earlier in the match.
WWE announced on commentary that Lynch had strep this week. She had a temperature of 102 degrees.
Michael Cole said, “Becky Lynch was sick all week.” “She has strep.”
Corey Graves said: “Becky Lynch told me earlier that her temperature reached 102 degrees.”
From March 26 to April 2, Lynch also held six book signing events. The book signing tour will include one more stop at Los Angeles on April 13th.
Ripley’s reign as champion has just passed the year mark. She has been champion since she defeated Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania39.
Lynch conducted a media tour in the run-up to WrestleMania to promote her new memoir, “Becky Lynch: the Man: Not your average average girl.” After its March 26 release, the book made it to the New York Times Bestsellers list.
