Khan spoke to the media at today’s ROH supercard of honor media call.
Tony Khan has decided not to respond to CM Punk’s recent criticisms against AEW and Khan’s leadership.
During the ROH Supercard of Honor Media Call today, Khan was questioned about Punk’s comments this week on The MMA Hour referring to Khan and AEW being “not a true business.” Khan replied that he preferred not to discuss the comments, and would rather concentrate on Friday’s pay per view.
Khan has joined Tony Schiavone, Jim Ross and others who have publicly stated that they will not address Punk’s remarks. Schiavone said he didn’t “give an s–t’ about Punk’s comments naming him as a character in the story of a backstage altercation between Jack Perry and Punk. Ross said on his podcast it’s time to “move on.”
Adam Copeland appeared to make reference to Punk’s controversial AEW Dynamite promo this week. Copeland referred “to the negative BS” that was spewed before cutting a promotional about AEW making the wrestling industry better.
Copeland said, “AEW has pushed the industry to a better place.” “AEW has pushed everybody into a better position. It has given more people the chance to make a living doing what they love, and that’s something worth celebrating. AEW makes professional wrestling better and more fun. And AEW where the best wrestle.”
