Jade Cargill joins WWE SmackDown roster in todays Wrestling news
She will debut as a SmackDown member next week.
The WWE SmackDown Women’s Division has a new addition.
Jade Cargill joined the SmackDown lineup on Friday night. WWE announced the news in a video package aired during SmackDown. Cargill’s first appearance as a SmackDown member will be next week (March 29, 2019).
Cargill said on the video package:
Let’s be clear: I didn’t arrive here to be the “next anyone”. Jade Cargill has a generational talent that is once in a lifetime. When I enter, everyone will sit up and stand straight. I don’t have to say a word, yet I am the hot topic. I am the headline. You don’t have like it but you can’t deny that they’re going build statues of you.
It’s because of this that I’m bringing my talents to SmackDown.
Cargill left AEW in September 2023 after her final match. Later that month, it was confirmed that Cargill signed a multiyear contract with WWE.
Cargill made a WWE debut in the ring at the Royal Rumble in January, but was without a brand up until now. Cargill reached the final three in the women’s Royal Rumble before being eliminated.
Naomi, Tiffany Stratton and Bron breakker have all joined the SmackDown roster in the last few weeks.
Next Friday, SmackDown will be the second-to last episode of the show until WrestleMania.
