Finlay has already pulled out of the NJPW Cup because of the illness.
David Finlay will be absent from another date due a illness.
Finlay was not cleared by NJPW to compete in Sunday’s NJPW Cup event at Shizuoka because of the illness that prevented him from playing against Hirooki Gont on March 16. Finlay withdrawn from the tournament because he was sick.
The website of the promotion wrote:
David Finlay, a New Japan Cup participant, was forced to withdraw yesterday from his matchup against Hirooki GOTO due to a medical complaint that occurred before the matches.
Finlay is also not cleared to compete at today’s event, which takes place in Shizuoka. We apologize to the fans who were eager to see Finlay wrestle, and we appreciate your understanding.
Finlay was supposed to team up with KENTA and Chase Owens against Hirooki goto, YOSHI HASHI, Tomohiro Ishii and Toru Yano. Hiroyoshi Tezan would also be in the team. Gedo will replace him.
The New Japan Cup semifinals will be held in Fukushima on 18 March. The tournament’s finals will be held on March 20th in Niigata.
