DDP feels he has already received a proper send-off to his career in the ring.

Diamond Dallas Page is happy that he has already had a proper send-off to his career in the ring.

DDP’s last match was in January 2020, when he teamed up with Dustin Rhodes & QT Marsh against MJF The Butcher & The Blade at AEW Dynamite. DDP was 63 at the time. He is now just three weeks away from his 68th birthday.

TV Insider asked DDP whether the experience of watching Sting’s retirement match made him want one last time to end his career. DDP, while not ruling out the possibility of a final match in 2020, said that he felt the six-man tag team match in AEW would be the best sendoff he could get.

I feel I got it with AEW. I wasn’t doing WWE stuff for a while because I was helping Cody Rhodes do AEW stuff. It wasn’t my fault. Cody was the one I helped. I wanted to help. We did. We did it with six men. I was so excited at the end. I looked so good during that match. I didn’t get hurt when I jumped off the top rope. I thought it was a great send-off. Cody had asked, ‘One More?’ How can you make it better?

Never say never. I’m still in good shape. I can drop Diamond Cutters now. I would leave a piece of myself in every one I did, even though I will be 68 in a couple of weeks. I am the first DDP Yoga Transformation. They said that my career was over when I broke my back. I was at the top of the world. I headlined 13 of 24 pay per views, but I didn’t get the one spot to be heavyweight [champion]. DDP Yoga was able to help. Yoga, rehab and old-school calisthenics helped me heal, but also taught me how to help other people. I also became the heavyweight champ.

DDP’s TV Insider interview was to promote Biography: WWE Legends, an episode about his career that will premiere this Sunday (17th March). The documentary will air at 9 p.m. Eastern Time on A&E.

DDP told TV Insider he will be at WrestleMania to support Cody Rhodes.

I was in Atlanta for both of his state championships. I flew back from LA to Atlanta to watch. I’ve been on this journey. I’ve always been a big supporter. I am there for him as a brother, uncle and whatever else he wants me to do. I’m going to Bora Bora from Mania for my wife’s 50th. There is only one person who can convince me to spend four days in Philly, then fly home to Atlanta and to Bora Bora after 28 hours of flight. It’s not only going to be emotional watching him finish his story. It will be emotional for many people. I think it’s time. You have a real babyface.

This is the guy who does the right thing when the cameras aren’t on. This is the man. The Rock has taken it to a new level. Wrestling fans already know Cody Rhodes, but with The Rock’s arrival, the biggest star of the world will be wrestling at WrestleMania. The Super Bowl. He has taken his game to a new level. This is what happened to my when I was working with [Karl] Malone. It took me to a new level. Rock is the biggest superstar in the world, with Roman Reigns who is one the best champions of all time, and Seth Rollins who is one the greatest technicians of our time. It’s going be amazing. I would not miss it. I won’t mind if I don’t get any sleep for four nights. I can’t watch what happens.
