Official WWE NXT Stand & Deliver match: Carmelo Hayes vs. Trick Williams in todays Wrestling news
Philadelphia is about to host a grudge match.
The NXT grudge match between Trick Williams and Carmelo Haes is officially set for WrestleMania Weekend in Philadelphia.
Sports Illustrated announced today that Williams vs. Hayes has now been officially confirmed for NXT stand & deliver. The event will take place at the Wells Fargo Center in Philly on Saturday, 4th April.
Stand & Deliver will air live at noon Eastern time on Peacock/WWE Network, just hours before the first night of WrestleMania.
Williams, who appeared on NXT last week and challenged Hayes to take Williams on at Stand & Deliver, confirmed the match.
Hayes betrayed Williams in February by attacking his leg with a metal chair at the end NXT Vengeance Day. Hayes & Williams lost earlier that night to Bron Breakker & Baron Corbin at the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Finals. Williams did double duty on Vengeance Day. He also lost to NXT champion Ilja Dragunov, in the main event.
Hayes, who was also the mystery attacker of Williams backstage in October last year, was revealed to be the person who attacked Williams on Vengeance Day.
Williams got revenge by helping Hayes lose a match between Tony D’Angelo and the number one contender on NXT’s Roadblock episode from March 5. D’Angelo will challenge Dragunov at Stand & Deliver for the NXT Championship.
