Sting thanks Tony Khan for AEW Revolution retirement match in todays Wrestling news
He thanked Tony Khan after his final match on X last weekend.
Sting took to Twitter to reflect on his retirement, which occurred last weekend.
On Sunday, the AEW actor thanked Khan for the last three of his career.
“Still on cloud 9 from last Sunday. But it wouldn’t have been possible without Tony Khan. Thank you for your friendship, for the past three years and more. “Thank you Tony!” he wrote.
Sting had also thanked Allin earlier in the day. He called him the “best tag team partner I’ve ever had.”
Sting’s final match was at AEW Revolution, where he teamed up with Darby Allen to successfully retain the AEW Tag Team title against The Young Bucks. After their victory, Sting and Allin gave up the titles. Tony Khan announced during the Revolution press scrum that a tournament will be held to crown new champions, which will begin next Saturday on Collision.
Sting, when asked what he planned to do after retirement, said that he would eventually have this talk with Khan but that he was not interested in being a producer or manager.
