Danielson and Ospreay have confirmed their match for AEW Collision.
Will Ospreay and Bryan Danielson will meet for the first ever time in the ring.
Ospreay challenged Danielson on Saturday’s Collision to a match in St. Louis for AEW Dynasty, April 21. Danielson accepted the challenge, and AEW made the match official shortly thereafter.
Ospreay had just defeated Shane Taylor during the first match of Collision. He said he thought Danielson would have something to say to him after he entered ring at end of Dynamite. Danielson told Ospreay he had heard Ospreay was called the best in world and wanted to give him a chance to prove it.
Ospreay debuted for AEW at Revolution last week, defeating Konosuke Takeshita. He then won against Kyle Fletcher at AEW Dynamite. After the match, Danielson entered the ring. The show ended with both of them staring at each other, hinting at a future confrontation.
Danielson also wrestled in Revolution, but lost to Eddie Kingston. As per the rules of the match he shook Eddie Kingston’s hand after the loss.
