Kazuchika Okada Is All Elite
Okada appeared in Dynamite Wednesday, after Eddie Kingston confronted the Young Bucks. Okada initially acted as if he was going help Kingston. However, Okada smashed him with the rainmaker. The Young Bucks announced that Okada was joining The Elite after they all shook their hands.
The Young Bucks announced two major things about The Elite before Kingston came out. The Young Bucks announced that Hangman Page was suspended without pay from The Elite due to his assault on AEW officials. Kenny Omega was fired by The Elite for missing scheduled dates after he missed a number of dates due to diverticulitis.
In January, it was announced that Okada’s contract with NJPW would not be renewed. His final match took place on February 24. He teamed up with Hirooki, Goto, YOSHI-HASHI and Tomohiro, Ishii, and YOH, to defeat Jeff Cobb and Great-O-Khan. They also defeated Aaron Henare and Francesco Akira. Okada had been reported to be leaning toward signing with AEW, after both AEW and WWE expressed interest.
