Rollins announced that he had been cleared medically to compete on Raw. He and Cody Rhodes are scheduled to appear on SmackDown Friday, following The Rock’s comments last Friday.
Rollins has been injured since January. He tore his MCL and partially tore his meniscus during a match with Jinder Mahal. Rollins said in an interview with Daniel Cormier that he “dodged the bullet” after suffering the injury and hoped to be back within a month.
“We’re going to take it day by day.” He said, “I’d like to return in a month.” “I don’t wanna walk into WrestleMania, and that would be my first match for two months, or three months, or whatever. This is not good for me. I want to be in a position to go back and test the wheel to make sure we’re in good shape.”
Rollins, who has been out of action since the injury, has remained on television in a non wrestling capacity. He helped set up a match between him and Rhodes, taking on Rock & Roman reigns on night one at WrestleMania. He will also defend his World Heavyweight title against Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania.
