Miro has been injured for months, but only sought medical attention in January in todays Wrestling news
Miro commented that he was not able to attend AEW Revolution.
Miro, an AEW wrestler, has been suffering from an injury since September.
Tony Khan announced earlier this week that the Meat Madness Match that was planned for AEW Revolution would be postponed due to the absence of multiple wrestlers he wanted in the match. Khan said on his pre Revolution media call that he wanted to use Miro and Keith Lee, but they are not currently available.
Miro tweeted on Friday morning that he has been injured since September, and that he received medical attention in January. Miro hasn’t fought since he defeated Andrade El Idolo in AEW Worlds End pay per view in December.
Miro wrote he was sorry Khan wasn’t “aware” of his situation.
I’ve had an injury since September, and i sought medical attention in January. Sorry he didn’t know about it
Wardlow, Powerhouse Hobbs and Lance Archer were announced as participants in Meat Madness. Instead, they’ll be three of eight players in the All-Star Scramble at Revolution.
Khan said that he was inspired to create Meat Madness by the “Meat chants” for Miro vs. Hobbs in All Out 2023, and Lee vs. Brian Cage last December on Collision.
Miro vs. Chicago’s ‘Meat chants’ and Powerhouse Hobbs. I don’t believe these were isolated to Chicago. We then went on tour and they were there in other big-man games. We had chants of ‘Meat Forever” during Miro vs. Hobbs in All Out. We had a great match in December on Collision between Keith Lee and Brian Cage. It was on an episode that was really good, I think it was around the Continental Classic. This was a great episode with many good matches, and also a match outside the tournament between big men Keith Lee and Brian Cage. And the crowd enjoyed that.
I wanted to use a lot big wrestlers to get the crowd pumped up for a Meat Madness multi-man match. I think it would be a great match and I know the crowd would love it. But I wanted to use some of those wrestlers, like the Miro vs. Hobbs chant or the Keith Lee vs. Brian Cage chant. Miro and Keith Lee, for example, are both unavailable. Both are unavailable. I wanted to be able to play the match that I had originally envisioned, but some of our big players were injured. I think that people would enjoy it.
Khan said he would still like to do the Meat Madness Match when AEW’s big men are healthy.
Greensboro in North Carolina is the scene of a revolution this Sunday (3rd March).
