Shawn Spears has returned to NXT.
Ridge Holland apologized to Gallus in the ring during the episode of WWE NXT that aired on February 27. He had viciously attacked him with a chair. The lights went off, and a message appeared that said, “Truth will eventually prevail, but pain is bringing it to the surface.”
Holland was attacked by a hooded person with a chair. The newcomer revealed that he was Shawn Spears formerly known by the name Tye Dillinger.
Spears spent a few seasons in WWE before returning for a second time in 2013. He appeared on NXT and moved up to SmackDown by 2017. Spears requested his release in February 2019. It was granted. He then joined AEW for AEW Double Or Nothing 2019. He was with the company from the beginning of 2023 until he announced that he would be leaving.
Update: Spears made a comment on his return in the later part of the show on Tuesday. He said that Holland was telling himself lies. Spears said that the truth can bring anyone to their knees. That’s why he is back in NXT.
