Darby Allin Sting’s sons don’t want to be wrestlers in todays Wrestling news
Allin said that he has asked Sting to consider the possibility.
Despite their recent involvement in an AEW angle it does not look like Sting’s two sons, Steven Jr. and Garrett, will ever compete in the ring.
Darby Allin said to Digital Spy that neither of the Borden sons is interested in becoming wrestlers. Allin said that he asked Sting whether Garrett and Steven had ever wrestled, but Sting replied that it was not something they wanted to do.
They’re not at all interested. I asked [Sting] if his sons had ever tried it. He said, “No, they are not interested.”
They didn’t want to do it, but I was curious about their size. They should become a tag-team – that would cool.
Garrett and Steven sat in the front row of the AEW Tag team titles when Sting & Allin took the title earlier this month. They celebrated with their father but The Young Bucks attacked Sting, Allin and Garrett with baseball bats.
Garrett and Steven played football in college.
Katelyn, Sting’s daughter in law, is married to Garrett and works for AEW as the director of community engagement. She wrestles as Jael on the independent circuit. Dustin Rhodes trained her at the Rhodes Wrestling Academy.
The AEW Revolution pay-per view will feature Sting’s final match in Greensboro on Sunday, 3rd March. Sting & Allin will defend their AEW Tag Team Titles against The Young Bucks.
Allin spoke with Digital Spy about his Tag Team title with Sting.
It was important to share this with him, because he will stop at nothing – and I will stop at anything – to ensure that his career ends well.
He’s not a guy who’s going to ride off into the sunset, take it easy and just phone it in. Talk about a guy who is still going crazy and jumping off balconies.
It was amazing that we could have this moment after all of the craziness in AEW. It was the perfect ending.
Sting’s final appearance before retirement will be on Dynamite next week (February 28). It’s Dynamite s last episode for Revolution.
