Rayne wrestled Deonna purrazzo last night on AEW dynamicite in her first match since a ROH taping back in August. Rayne appeared directly on top her head near the end of the match after her opponent made a move. The referee immediately checked her out and Rayne was soon tapped out by an ankle lock.

Last night, the commentary team portrayed Rayne as a mentor of Purrazzo. Toni Storm attacked Purrazzo after the match. She will be competing against her for the AEW World Championship at Revolution.
AEW signed Rayne as a coach in the summer 2022, but it was unclear at the time if she would wrestle for the promotion.
