TNA Wrestling now has a new creative director, Scott D’Amore.
“Tommy Dreamer has been named creative director, as many had expected after D’Amore’s departure.
Anthem Sports & Entertainment (the parent company of TNA) announced on 7 February that it had terminated D’Amore’s agreement. D’Amore was the president of TNA Wrestling. Anthony Cicione has been named in his place. Cicione is the president of Anthem Entertainment Group.
This week, Fightful released a letter sent by members of the TNA roster to Anthem as a show of support for D’Amore. The letter was written with the intention of reuniting TNA and opening a communication line.
The letter stated that “we feel strongly that a “wrestling person” needs to be intimately and at a high-level involved to ensure that the amazing business we have built and the product we have provided for our fans continues to flourish and grow.” “We believe that Scott is the best person to fill that role.
Dreamer has worked in TNA both behind the scenes and as a wrestler. He lost the TNA Digital Media Championship to Crazzy Steven at TNA’s Hard to Kill Pay-per-View last month.
