Alba Fyre replaces Shotzi in WWE SmackDown qualifying match in todays Wrestling news
Shotzi was injured during Tuesday’s NXT taping.
Alba Fyre replaces Shotzi in a Elimination Chamber qualifier match on Friday’s WWE SmackDown.
WWE announced the match change in a post on social media by SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis, which was posted on Wednesday. Fyre will replace Shotzi in a match with Tiffany Stratton, where an Elimination Chamber slot is on the line.
Shotzi was injured when he executed an apron-DDT during a title match on Tuesday’s WWE NXT tape against Women’s champion Lyra Valkyria. This match will be shown on the NXT episode next week.
Friday’s SmackDown will feature Roman Reigns, The Rock, and four Elimination chamber qualifying matches.
The updated card for the Friday, February 16 WWE SmackDown at Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah:
- The Rock & Roman Reigns will appear
- Men’s Elimination Chamber qualifier: Logan Paul vs. The Miz
- Men’s Elimination Chamber qualifier: Kevin Owens vs. Dominik Mysterio
- Women’s Elimination Chamber qualifier: Naomi vs. Zelina Vega
- Women’s Elimination Chamber qualifier: Tiffany Stratton vs. Alba Fyre
