Marshall is also free to wrestle in other promotions besides WWE.
Marshall announced his resignation on November 27, 2023. He stated that “the company has changed a great deal since 2019 and it is heading in a new direction. I feel that I should do the same, as we only have one chance to go All In!”
Meltzer noted that Marshall wanted to focus on his in ring career and “want to be a wrestler star” on the November 28, 2018 episode of Wrestling Observer Radio.
Marshall has wrestled sparingly ever since losing the AAA Latin American Title at Guerra de Titanes 2023 to Octagon Jr. on November 19.
He has also teamed with Dusty Rhodes daughter, Teil Rhodes to revive the old promotion of her father, Turnbuckle Championship Wrestling. The promotion held its first event on February 8, 2008. The show featured wrestlers like Glacier, Scott Riggs and The Infantry.
