Cody Rhodes receives some help from Seth Rollins on the road to WrestleMania.
Rhodes responded to The Rock’s actions at the WrestleMania press conference with a promo on Raw last night. Rhodes warned The Rock he would be receiving a receipt for slapping.
I recognized the look of Rock’s eyes. It was no longer the energy of the people. It was malice. The Rock and Roman Reigns? It’s the perfect storm. Please, please, please do not be mistaken – Rock you touched me. Rock, you slapped my face. What that means is that I’m going hit you back.
Rollins joined Rhodes in ring. Rhodes thanked Rollins at the press conference for helping him.
Rollins explained to Rhodes why he is challenging Roman Reigns for WrestleMania. Rollins told Rhodes to defeat Reigns to complete his story, as it may be the last time anyone will have to beat him.

You’ll understand why when I tell you: if you don’t beat Roman Reigns and take the WWE Undisputed Championship away from him at WrestleMania, the landscape after WrestleMania will be very, very dark. You have the most powerful champion in the modern era. Roman Reigns. He gains more power. He has more power, so he appears less. He defends his title less. The glass ceiling gets thicker. These brass rings are getting higher. This is the last chance for any of us to claim that title, to claim that power, and give it to the people.
Rollins pointed out that Rhodes was denied the opportunity to win the title at WrestleMania in the past year and said the decks are even more stacked now against him. This time, Rhodes will have to deal with The Rock. Rollins said Rhodes does not have to fight the battle alone. Rollins said that he is tired of people such as The Rock and Reigns constantly putting their weight around and gaining what they want.
Rollins acknowledged that he was partially responsible for Reigns becoming the monster that he has become, but he could never have imagined what Reigns would turn into. Rollins said that Reigns is now a double-headed monster, along with The Rock.
When it comes time to fight The Bloodline, The Rock, or Roman Reigns, only one man is uniquely suited to act as your shield. I’ll give a hint – he used to be an Architect. He is now a Visionary. He is a Revolutionary. Seth Freakin’ Rollins.
The Rock & Reigns vs. Rhodes & Rollins tag match is expected to take place on the first night of WrestleMania. However, this has not yet been announced. The night two main event will feature Rhodes challenging Reigns to the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
Drew McIntyre vs. Rhodes is scheduled for Raw on Monday. McIntyre has threatened that if Rhodes does not show up for the match he might not make it to WrestleMania.
The show-closing aspect of last night’s Raw involved Rhodes saving Sami Zayn after he was beaten down by McIntyre & Shinsuke Nakamura. Nakamura beat Zayn after McIntyre created a distraction.
