The Uvalde Foundation For Kids will honor the 15-year-old.

Jackson Swallen, a hero.

The 15-year old high school student who goes by the nickname Boom is Brian Pillman’s grandson, and Lexis King’s nephew.

Swallen has been awarded the National Student Hero Award by the Uvalde Foundation For Kids for stopping a planned mass casualty incident at Mariemont High School, Cincinnati.

In relation to this case, a 14-year old student has been charged for conspiracy to commit aggravated homicide. The student was also said to conspire with an adult from out of state, who is believed to be between 22-24 years old.

Authorities have described the case as “a credible plot to harm staff and students.”

The student was said to have possessed a gun in their home, as well as a “kill-list” of eight other students and a teacher.

Swallen informed his father of the plan after learning about it, despite being threatened by the student to not tell anyone. His father immediately notified the police.

Zach Swallen, the father of Swallen, said: “The kid had firearms and a very elaborate plot and was determined to carry out this plan.” “My son, he doesn’t lie. His tone told me he was very literal. My son was told that if he revealed anything about the plan, he would die. “But my son told me that he didn’t mind if he was killed as long as it meant he could protect his friends.”

King took to the social media to express his pride in his nephew on Monday.

Later, King would add that his athletic genes have also been passed on to his nephew.

Amy Carlier, whose daughter attends the school, spoke to WCPO and expressed her gratitude for Swallen’s action.

Carlier said, “My daughter texted that two people I know and love were on the list.”

She continued, “I am grateful for the quick action taken by our school system, the student who informed his father, the dad who took it seriously, and the police who took action.” “That’s the reason our kids are still alive and safe today.”

Daniel Chapin, founder and president of the Uvalde Foundation For Kids praised Swallen’s father for his actions.

“This student, who helped extinguish an possible threat to his fellow students, represents how the climate violence plaguing schools in our nation and threatening students’ lives can be ended — not by gun control or through more safety planning meetings, but through alert, caring, students like this young man, who refuse to stand aside when a potential danger stands against their friends,” said he.
