Sol Ruca, WWE NXT’s Sol Ruca, returns from ACL tear in todays Wrestling news
Ruca wrestled in her first match since April 2023.
Sol Ruca, who had undergone knee surgery nine months prior, returned to the ring Friday night.
Ruca made a comeback by competing in a Tag Team match at the Friday NXT House Show in Crystal River, Florida. Ruca and Brinley Reece were defeated by Thea Hail and Jacy Jayne in the event.
Ruca tweeted the following after the match:
Ruca wrestled for the first time since April 2023. She had surgery in May last year to repair her torn anterior cruciate ligament.
In order to explain Ruca’s lack of appearance on NXT, there was a shot where Ruca is shown being attacked in the WWE Performance Center. Blair Davenport was revealed as the mystery attacker. He also attacked Nikkita lyons, Wendy Choo and Roxanne perez.
Ruca made her WWE TV debut on NXT Level Up July 2022. She appeared on NXT TV that September.
The 24-year-old Ruca, real name Calyx Hammpton, is a surfer with a background in gymnastics. She competes for the University of Oregon’s acrobatics team and tumbling squad.
Ruca’s Sol Snatcher finish move went viral in December 2022 on social media.
