The first romantic comedy in wrestling is being marketed.
On Valentine’s Day AEW’s channel on YouTube will debut a new series.
Today, it was announced that “Johnny Loves Taya”, which will premiere on AEW YouTube channel on next Wednesday (February 14, 2014), will be uploaded. Then, new episodes will appear every Wednesday. It’s being marketed as wrestling’s first romance comedy.
The series stars AEW/ROH wrestling stars and real-life married couple Johnny TV and Taya Vakyrie (former WWE wrestler John Morrison).
Johnny TV (real-name John Hennigan), and Valkyrie, (Kira Magnin Forster), have been married since 2018. Both have experience in acting outside of the ring.
Hennigan made his debut for AEW on May 20, 2022, and signed a contract later with the company. AEW announced Valkyrie’s signing in March 2023. She is a former champion of Impact Wrestling and Lucha Libre AAA. She also wrestled previously for WWE NXT.
Valkyrie lost to Deonna Purrazzo on AEW Dynamics last week.
Hennigan is currently paired with Valkyrie on screen in ROH. Both will be featured on the ROH TV episode that airs tonight on HonorClub (February 8).
