The estate of Brian Pillman has signed a contract with WWE.
Brittany Pillman Evans announced the signing of the contract on her Instagram Stories.
“I never imagined I would see this day, but after 27 years my siblings and I now own the rights to father’s legacy!” she wrote. I want to thank all the fans who have kept my father’s legacy alive. This is all thanks to YOU and to WWE for making it happen! Stay tuned for more merch to come soon.”
Pillman is most well-known for his time with WCW and WWE. He died on October 5, 1997, while under contract to WWE. He was found dead in a hotel just hours before WWE’s In Your House Badd Blood event. A subsequent autopsy determined that Pillman died from a heartattack.
Lexis King, the son of Pillman wrestles in NXT as Brian Pillman Jr. He will wrestle Riley Osborne in NXT on Tuesday.
