After Raw ended, Rhodes spoke with the fans.
Cody Rhodes, an emotional Cody Rhodes, reacted after WWE Raw ended Monday night.
Raw was the first WWE TV show since Rhodes appeared to have given up his WrestleMania forty spot against Undisputed WWE Universe Champion Roman Reigns in favor of The Rock. The fans expressed loudly that they wanted to see Reigns and Rhodes at WrestleMania. The fans chanted “We want Cody!” and “Rocky stinks.”
These chants continued even after Raw ended. WWE posted a video of Rhodes responding to the “We Want Cody” chants from the fans.
These three words. All I can say is that I’ve always wanted you, since I was a young boy who loved everything.
Raw didn’t give any answers regarding the WrestleMania main event. Drew McIntyre interrupted a segment featuring Seth Rollins and World Heavyweight champion Rhodes at the beginning of the episode.
Rhodes defeated Shinsuke Nakamura in a bull-rope match in Raw’s main event but was attacked afterward by McIntyre.
WWE will reveal the WrestleMania main event at its media event in Las Vegas on Thursday. Rhodes, Reigns and The Rock are all expected to attend.
Rhodes tweeted last night during Raw: “Appreciate your passion, God bless you…but Trust me.”
