Booker T gives update after missing WWE NXT Vengeance Day in todays Wrestling news
Booker T underwent a recent medical procedure.
Booker T provided an update on his Hall of Fame Podcast after having to miss WWE NXT Vengeance Day because of a medical procedure.
Booker T announced Sunday that he had undergone a medical procedure, and would miss the NXT TV for the next two weeks. Wade Barrett stepped in to fill Booker T’s spot on the commentary team at Vengeance day.
Booker T, 58, thanked everyone who sent him well wishes while he was discussing the procedure on his podcast. Booker T said he will take the next two weeks off, but will return as soon as possible. Booker T said that he is doing well.
I know you missed my presence. But I’m fine, guys. I would like to thank everyone for their support. All the well wishes, telling me to get better and get back on track. I’m going back as soon as possible. I’m taking a couple of weeks off. But rest assured that I will be back in full color and live, doing everything the way it should be done. I’m taking these days off for relaxation.
Booker T stated that he hasn’t had the ability to train in the gym like he would like to for the past month or so. After the procedure, Booker T is now on his path to being able do that.
I had a medical treatment. The thing is, i don’t like to put my business out there. I would let you know if I were dying [laughs]. But I’m not dying, I’m not dead yet or anything of the sort. It’s something that will keep me down for the next couple of weeks. I’m antsy. I don’t like being down. I like to be on the move, working out. That’s what I do. I get up in morning, go to the gym, and train. Before I go to sleep at night, I train in the gym. In the last month, I haven’t been able do that. Right now, I am on my way to getting back to that point. I feel great. I’m achy as hell… But I feel good. I regret missing Vengeance Day, because it was so action-packed.
Booker T and Vic Joseph are the regular weekly commentating team for NXT. Barrett is a part of the SmackDown Team alongside Corey Graves. After filling in for Booker T at Vengeance Day, Barrett tweeted:
