Logan Paul to appear on this week’s WWE SmackDown in todays Wrestling news
The United States Champion will be the SmackDown champion on February 2.
Logan Paul, the WWE United States champion, will be appearing on Friday’s SmackDown.
Paul was announced as the Raw opponent for Friday, February 2, in a video that aired on Monday’s Raw.
Paul won the US title in the Royal Rumble last Saturday, defeating Kevin Owens for the first time since he won the Crown Jewel belt last November.
The promo aired on Raw said that this week’s SmackDown would kick off Roman Reigns road to WrestleMania. However, a Reigns presence on the show wasn’t specifically announced. Reigns won the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in a four way matchup at Royal Rumble, beating AJ Styles and LA Knight.
Reigns’ name is not included in the local advertising for the SmackDown event that will be held in Birmingham, Alabama on Friday at the Legacy Arena of the BJCC.
The website of the venue lists Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre for the event. Also listed are Jeminik Uso and Dominik Mysterio, possibly in dark matches. Also listed are Randy Orton and Kevin Owens. Local advertising for the show also features Asuka, Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa.
