Bayley wins WWE Women’s Royal Rumble Match in todays Wrestling news
Bayley will face either Rhea Ripley, or IYO SKY, at WrestleMania.
Bayley has a big decision to make before she heads to WrestleMania.
Bayley won the Royal Rumble for the first time ever on Saturday night. Bayley was ranked number three when she entered the Rumble and competed for over an hour in the match before being crowned winner. She eliminated Liv Morgan last to win.
The final three wrestlers were Jade Cargill, Morgan, and Bayley. Morgan eliminated Cargill, but was quickly eliminated by Bayley.
Bayley will now face either Women’s World champion Rhea Ripley, or WWE Women’s Champions IYO Sky at WrestleMania forty. Bayley and SKY were stablemates in Damage CTRL. During the build-up to the Royal Rumble Bayley stated that she would be challenging Ripley instead of SKY at WrestleMania. But WWE has been building up to a split of Damage CTRL and Bayley.
Asuka, a member of Damage CTRL, and Kairi were also participants in the women’s Royal Rumble. Dakota Kai, who was out of action due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament since May last year, did not return to the ring for the Rumble.
Bayley will be wrestling for the first time in a WrestleMania one-on-one championship match.
WrestleMania takes place at Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, on Saturday, April 6, and Sunday, April 7.
