John Cena has revealed where he would love to host his final WWE Match
Cena recently spoke about wanting to end his career in the ring. Cena, who will turn 47 in April, told Entertainment Tonight that he wants to retire from the ring by the time he turns 50.
Cena was interviewed by BBC’s The One Show on Tuesday in the United Kingdom. He was asked about a possible final WWE match. Cena said that he doesn’t choose his opponents but would like to have his final WWE match at The O2 Arena, London.
I’ve never tried to pick my opponent because that was way above my paygrade. But I’ve been a strong advocate for London to host WrestleMania. Many people think that when I say this in the middle of a ring, I’m just saying it for the local moment. WWE fans in the UK are the best. Fans in London will tell you how they feel. I don’t believe I’ll have the chance to pick my opponent. If I had to choose, The O2 in London would be my choice.
Cena surprised fans by making a surprise appearance at Money in the Bank, which took place in The O2 in July last year. He lobbied London to host the next edition of WrestleMania.
Cena returned to WWE for a longer period during the Hollywood Strike last fall. He worked three televised match in 2023. The most recent was a loss against Solo Sikoa in Crown Jewel last November. Sikoa won the match with 11 samoan spikes. Cena returned home to Hollywood after the strike ended.
