Thunder Rosa will wrestle AEW Dynamite on Wednesday for the first time in 2022.
Tony Khan, AEW’s social media manager, announced Tuesday that Thunder Rosa vs. Red Velvet will be added to the Dynamite on Wednesday, January 24.
Rosa’s last Dynamite match was in August 2022, in a tag-team bout with Toni Storm and Jamie Hayter against Britt Baker & Jamie Hayter. She returned to the ring after 14 months of absence due to a back problem in December 2023.
Six matches have been confirmed for Wednesday’s Dynamite show. These include a unique Adam Copeland vs. Minoru Shiba matchup, Hangman page vs. Penta El Zero Miedo matchup, Swerve vs. Jeff Hardy matchup, Wardlow vs. Trent Beretta matchup, and an AEW Trio Championship match between The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn vs. Mogul Embassy’s Brian Cage & Gates Of Agony.
