WWE confirms Cora Jade is out of action due to ACL tear in todays Wrestling news
Jade was injured over the weekend.
Cora Jade is going to be out of commission for a while.
Announcers confirmed on Tuesday that Jade suffered an ACL tear during a house show last Saturday. Jade was expected to be out of the ring for about a year.
Jade was injured while wrestling NXT Women’s champion Lyra Vakyria at Dade City, Florida. Wren Sinclair, who was making her debut, was credited by announcers as the one to defeat Jade, replacing Jade in the battle royal. Sinclair is the former Madi Wernkowski, who has appeared in NWA and AEW.
Later on Tuesday, Jade shared a photo of her knee in a brace, with the caption “It’s only after we lose everything that we can do anything.”
Roxanne Perez won the NXT battle royal and became the new number 1 contender. She will compete against Valkyria at NXT Vengeance Day in Clarksville, Tennessee on February 4, for the NXT Women’s Championship.
